Yup it's kinda 3D ain't it :)

For all of you out there who know actionscript, maybe I should explain a bit about how i made it. All the stuff on the island is actually inside the rotating surface symbol, but then I've made it so that they always get the negative rotation and height relative to the outer symbol. And then there's some local to global to get their actual y positions to give them the right depths. And then of course there's other stuff too, but anyway, hope you like it.

That is really, really cool! I wish i could use a similar engien to make 3-D maps for a huge interactive map i'm making.

ok...that's awesome....I was able to see under the island though, so it appears to be floating...amazing style and action script...you da man...favage as well

Thanks. Yeah, I know about the floating thing, thought about fixing it, but it only happens if you move your mouse outside of the area that the flash is supposed to occupy which is only possible if you open it in Explorer so I left it as it was.

well I was only able to do it once...when i tried to do it again it stayed on the water...so it mighta just been a little glitch or something...

now this is an interesting piece, would look nice if you also added the yoshi-island style mountains too :)
